Despite the slowdown in the
economy, 2009 has been busy for AC Generator
Consultants. The workload has been steady
for this cost effective, experienced and
dedicated engineer with the help of many friends
and referrals. The range of billable projects in
the past year has been broad.
New type service tooling and monitoring
sensor analysis, stator and field rewind
surveillance, rotor thermal sensitivity
investigation and reverse engineering of a GE
generator rotor parts list have kept me happily
engaged.
The expertise and experience to reverse
engineer replacement components, perform
mechanical or electrical tests, audit your unit
operation for performance, or create a
maintenance program for your power generating
unit is a phone call away!
I am ready to work with your team for a
successful outage, follow your equipment in an
OEM facility for quality compliance or act as a
3rd party independent for the analysis of in
service failure or chronic operating issues.
30 years of experience in the operation,
installation, manufacture, diagnosis and testing
of power equipment is available at reasonable
rates.

I worked extensively in GE repair facilities in 2008.
Langley,
BC;
Chicago, IL;
Pittsburgh, PA;
and Dallas,
TX;
all connected with the repair of GE generator fields from 60 MW to a 920 MVA
4 pole rotor.
2008 marked the beginning of much more contract work directly with utility and
industrial generator owners. I worked
directly with Ameren at their Sioux Station and with Gainesville Regional
Utilities at the Kelly Station.
In 2007, I worked 5 months on Canadian projects,
oversaw 6 GE power systems generator repair
jobs and
worked on new product introduction support
jobs.
I look forward to working where I can practice my Spanish or French language
skills.
